The history of Bethlehem can be called the history of Christianity.

      We would like to focus your attention on Najma (Star) Street, one of the oldest commercial streets in Bethlehem. In the past it was called the "Sultan Road", as this street was used by the Ottoman Sultan when he was entering the city from the side of Jerusalem. Moreover, Joseph Al-Najjar and Virgin Mary were walking down this street to the Church of the Nativity.
      On Christian holidays, the markets on the streets of Bethlehem, especially the Najma (Star) Street, are decorated with lights that are making the place so wonderful.
      In 2017, the Russian-funded Star Street Restoration Project was launched with the support of the Palestinian Foreign and Finance Ministries and the Mayor of Bethlehem. By the way, the multi-tasking complex, which includes a business center, two music and sports schools, has been already built in Bethlehem with the financial and organizational support of Russia.
