Russia funded humanitarian aid distributed among Palestinians
On April 15, 2021, diplomats of the Russian Representative Office to the PA took part in the ceremony of distributing a batch of fortified wheat flour among the residents of the West Bank. The humanitarian aid was supplied earlier by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation as part of our country's voluntary contribution to the UN World Food Program.
The event was held with the participation of colleagues from the UN WFP and UNRWA in a Bedouin settlement in Wadi-Kelt area north of Jerusalem. The total of 74 local families (454 people) received humanitarian assistance. Overall, Russian humanitarian assistance to Palestine covers 72,000 residents of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
